Mermaid Medley {Reveal}
Did any of you mermaids happen to snag one of Nobella Grace's {Mermaid Medley} grab bags??
About a month ago, after NBG's trip to the market, the Mermaid Medley was offered! This was very similar to the Bella Box except it was offered at a steal of a price, only $30!!

The Search for the Perfect Ankle Boot...
With fall quickly approaching, I was on the hunt for the perfect ankle boot. Now, last season I had purchased a couple pairs and hated them! I didn’t have anything against them personally, I mean they were SO cute and in style! But I absolutely hated the way they made my bottom half look. You see, the bottom portion of my legs are the size of toothpicks while the top portion is a little thicker (this is where I carry most of my weight). So when I wore ankle boots I felt like Danny DeVito as the Penguin in Batman. I needed an ankle boot that was thicker/wider around the ankle so that it would even out my proportions and I also wanted a boot that wasn’t your average, run of the mill.
I searched tirelessly for weeks but couldn’t find any that jumped out at me until I came across a listing for these “Gypsy Boots” on Etsy. These boots were literally the raddest looking things I had ever seen! They were belted, laced, feathered, some even had bullet casings on them…I knew I had found THE boot! I began searching through “Crooked Halo Designs” and noticed that you could have the shop owner make a custom pair of Gypsy Boots according to your style/design specifications. I was down like Charlie Brown!
I immediately began messaging Hanna, the shop owner, about purchasing a custom pair and how exactly to go about it. I liked a few pairs of boots already listed for sale in her shop but I wanted some that reflected my own unique style. However, I was really unsure what to even call my style. I feel like I’m all over the place most of the time and pretty much just like what I like! So this is the description I sent to Hanna regarding the style I was looking for…
“My style is more along the lines of vintage Indian maybe? Haha! I love old lace, a lot of tribal, Native American themed fabric, with a really feminine girly look. I would like either a light or dark brown boot. The older & scruffier, the better!”
If I was her, I probably would have rolled my eyes. To me, this style didn’t even make sense and was all over the place! But, she thought it was great and let me know she would get started on looking for the pair of perfect boots!
2 days later I received a couple pairs of boots that Hanna thought I might like and asked me to take a look…

The {{ENORME}} Bella Box
It was love at first sight! It only took me a split second to decide on which pair I wanted!
After selecting my boots, Hanna let me know she would start gathering up accessories for them and get back to me with more updates! 2 weeks later I got the message I had been waiting for…I had 4 mock-up designs to choose from.
I had the options to pull elements I liked from each of them, pick one of them or none of them. Once I let her know what I liked and didn’t like from each of the styles, she went to work and began styling them out.
About 45 minutes later she sent me pics. of my boots from all angles so that I could make 100% sure everything was how I wanted it before everything got super-duper-never-coming-off stuck on!
After giving her the green flag to finish them up, my listing was ready the next day and I got to feast my eyes upon the finished product! They were PERFECT!!
This was such a fun and exciting experience working with Hanna at Crooked Halo Designs! She is very professional and has such an amazing talent to be able to make these perfect little booties out of the lousy style description I gave her! If you’re the adventurous type like me, I HIGHLY recommend working with her personally and designing your own perfect pair to fit your own unique style! The entire process takes around 3-4 weeks, a $75 deposit is required up front and when your boots are finished you are required to pay the remainder of the total price.

I have compiled a list of beauty products that I absolutely CANNOT live without! And by saying I can’t live without these products, I'm saying; "If I was on a desert island, I would have to have these products with me" type of can’t live without! So with that being said, I hope you thoroughly enjoy my list of life saving products :)
1. Suave Professionals Dry Shampoo
I have tried SO many dry shampoos over the years it’s not even funny! Big Sexy Hair, TRESemme, Victoria’s Secret, regular baby powder; you name it, I’ve tried it! But, I’ve only found one that I really liked and that’s this cheap old bottle from Suave! This formula is infused with mineral clay and silk powder and basically absorbs the grease on your head in between washes! The smell is very fresh and clean and if you hate washing your hair every single day like me, this stuff will be your new best friend! You can purchase a 5 oz. bottle >Here< for just $2.88!
2. doTERRA Clear Skin Foaming Face Wash
This face wash has seriously transformed my skin! I can’t tell you how many compliments I’ve received regarding my glowing and clear complexion since I began using it! It’s really such an amazing product! It is extremely gentle on the skin and it leaves your face feeling clean, fresh and radiant without drying it out. It also contains CPTG (therapeutic grade) essential oils and black cumin seed oil, to help keep your skin clear! You can purchase 1.7 fl. Oz. of this product >Here< for just $21!
3. b. Cosmetics Mineral Liquid Powder Foundation SPF 15
I have been using this foundation for months now and I could never imagine ever using anything else! The coverage is amazing!! It applies smoothly over the skin and sets itself to a soft-powder finish. This foundation provides sunscreen and antioxidant protection for ultra-sensitive skin. The formula is also oil-free and that’s what makes it great for all skin types, particularly skin with large pores and an oily T-zone (that would be me)! Purchase this foundation >Here< for just $28!
4. Norvell One Hour Sunless Mist
Ok, so if I was on a desert island I probably wouldn’t need this one since I would be getting a tan from the actual sun but I HAD to put this product on my list because I love it so, so much! I have tried literally every single sunless tanner known to man and this one tops them all! This product is salon quality and delivers salon quality results! The formula is 100% vegan, paraben-free, and contains natural enzymes that hydrate the skin! It dries in about an hour but I usually leave mine on for at least 8 hours (I spray right before bed and then shower in the morning) and my tan lasts for about 5 days. The website states that each 7 fl. Oz. bottle will give you about 5-7 spray tans just depending on how much you use however, I have sprayed 5 times and still have half the bottle left! 5. Perfectly Posh Good Morning, Beautiful Chunk Big Bath Bar
Due to having Interstitial Cystitis and chronic UTI’s I have to be careful about the products that I’m using on my skin. Over the past year and a half since being diagnosed I have tried quite a few all or mostly natural body washes and honestly they stink…literally stink! Then, a friend turned me on to Perfectly Posh. While some of their products still smell awful, this one smelled divine! It smells of green tea and lemon and contains sunflower oil and caffeine among other natural ingredients. Let’s hear it for my new favorite sweater!! (cue applause) This heather gray/oatmeal dolman sweater is one of the softest sweaters I currently own! I decided to pair it with a cami and lace shorts for the pic. but this piece will look great paired with some jeans or a cute pair of leggings!
2nd Piece
This oh so sweet Peach Love Cream tunic literally feels like silk! I love Aztec prints like crazy and the colors of this one?! Oh my! They go perfectly with my faux tan and are perfect for fall!
3rd Piece
How did Kristi and Kaitlin know that I needed a tie dye fix?! This fabulous Renee C. cardi does the trick! I decided to pair it with my silver sparkly belt and a great pair of skinnies!
4th Piece
The Jailbird Everly Dress! LOVE!! This dress is such a versatile piece! I paired it with a cute pair of flats (since it’s still kinda hot here in TN) and to take it into winter, simply add leggings and boots! Heck! Maybe even a scarf too!
5th Piece
Cotton candy crochet cardigan?? Yes, please! I would have never picked this piece for myself since the colors are a little out of my comfort zone of neutral but this is why I leave the shopping up to the professionals! I wanted to look eccentric so I paired it with an old Obey cutoff shirt and ripped skinnies! This is probably a huge fashion fail on my part but who cares!! I’m gonna rock it!
6th Piece
Is it just me or does everyone else dig all these crochet pieces for fall? This adorable sweater by Sweet Claire looks great paired with a scarf, by its lonesome, with a cami, bandeau (if you’re riskyyy like that) boyfriend jeans, skinnies, leggings you name it!
As you can see, I got some all-around fabulous pieces that will help my poor, depressed fall/winter closet get its happy back! Each of these versatile pieces will help me transition into fall and take me all the way into the winter months! Huge thanks to Kristi and Kaitlin for always keeping my look fresh and fabulous!!
